• Two Ironkids Events planned for 2025 in Hawkes Bay! These events are an exciting way for tamariki to challenge themselves, with a focus on beating their own times. Kids can join as individuals or in 3-person triathlon teams.
• For ages 7-14, with age-appropriate distances to ensure everyone can safely participate.
• Aquathlon option (swim/run) 
• Venue: HB Aquatic Centre for the swim, with cycling and running at the Mitre 10 Sportspark on the fields and perimeter pathway.

Event Schedule

• Date: Sunday, 23rd March, 2025
• Registration: 9:00 am - 9:40 am
• Compulsory Race Briefing: 9:45 am
• Start Time: 10:00 am
• Venue: Mitre 10 Sportspark & HB Aquatic Centre, Percival Road, Hastings (transition and start/finish near the Aquatic Centre’s back entrance)

Entry Fees

• Tri HB Multisport Youth Squad Members: $15
• Non-Members: $25
• Teams (3-person): $45

Race Distances

1. 7-10 Years Triathlon:
   • 50m Swim, 2.3km Cycle, 1km Run
2. 11-13 Years Triathlon:
   • 100m Swim, 2.3km Cycle, 2km Run

Distances are approximate and may change.

Safety Measures

• HB Aquatic Centre provides a 50m indoor heated pool (2.2m deep), with support for younger kids or those less confident in the water. Pool noodles, kick boards, and lane ropes will be available, and lifeguards will be on duty.

Prizegiving

• Held in the transition area right after the last participant finishes.
• No placegetters’ prizes—this is all about participation.
• Spot prizes in a random draw (must be present to collect).

• Online entries only, closing by 12 NOON on Saturday ,22nd March , 2025.
