Cranked Cycles Puketapu Duathlon Event
On or Off Road Duathlon options YOU CHOOSE…
Triathlon Hawke’s Bay are super excited to be able to bring you this
On & Off road event as part of the Scott Clinic Duathlon Series.
This year you will have the choice a trail run with a road cycle course heading out of Puketapu down local rural roads out and back down Dartmoor Road with full traffic management in place. There will also be a long and short distance option available for this course.
You can enjoy a full off road event is based on local farm land beside Puketapu School offering Trail Running, Mountain Biking with 2 distances to choose from including solo Mountain Bike and Trail Run options we have something to suit all abilities and fitness levels.
All new course designs with shorter and flatter course options
Both short and long Trail Run and Mountain Bike courses have small hills to keep you honest, but the views are worth it.
We will adjust our registration process and event plan alongside any new information released from Sport NZ or the Ministry of Health as it becomes available.

9am – 9.45am Duathlon all distances
Race Briefings (15 mins before race start)
Trail Run & MTB 8.45am
From 9am – Mountain Bike and all Trail Run participants start (wave rolling starts)
10 am – Duathlon Starts all distances (gun start)
Event Venue: Puketapu School, 709 Puketapu Rd

All registrations are online only and close Friday 11.59pm before the event
If a child is registered to do the event, the caregiver on the day of the event will be asked to register their details during the registration process.

Prize giving will be held in the school hall at approximately 12pm or after the last competitor has finished.
We don’t give prizes for the podium finishers but they recognised when the results are read out and all participants are in the draw for some great spot prizes thanks to our sponsors.
To support the local community we invite you all to the Puketapu Hotel immediately after prize giving for a social catch up and refreshments with a cash bar.
